The problem

A Missed Call Rarely Rings Twice

The phone rings while the team is with a customer. It rings after closing time. It rings during the lunch hour, when the volume is highest and the desk is emptiest. Most of those callers do not leave a message and do not call back.

The damage is invisible in a way that email is not. A missed call leaves no record, so nobody can count what was lost, and the problem never appears in a report.

Calls missed after hours
Long hold times at peak
Inconsistent answers
High cost of phone cover
Callers who never call back
No data on what was missed

You can measure abandoned baskets. Missed calls leave nothing behind, which is exactly why they go unfixed for years.

The solution

Picks Up on the First Ring, and Knows the Business

We build voice agents that hold a natural phone conversation, answer from your documented information, book into your real calendar and transfer to a person when the call needs judgement. Every call leaves a transcript, so what used to be invisible becomes something you can count.

Natural speech

Built on current speech models, tuned to your tone. Callers speak normally instead of navigating a menu.

Connected to your systems

Reads real availability and writes to your CRM or booking system, so the calendar is never double booked.

Trained on your operation

Knows services, prices, opening hours and the questions your team answers all day.

Transfers with context

A person receives the call with what has already been established. The caller does not start again.

Process

How we implement it

01

Discovery

Week 1

We map the real call pattern: volume, peak hours, the questions that repeat, and which calls genuinely need a person.

02

Build

Week 2

We train the agent on your information, connect the calendar and phone number, and define exactly when it transfers.

03

Supervised testing

Week 3

Real calls with your team listening. We tune wording, pacing and transfer rules until the recordings sound right.

04

Go live and tune

Ongoing

Live on the number, with weekly review of transcripts. Missed intents become fixes.

Real case

A dental clinic stopped losing calls at lunchtime

A clinic in Lisbon was taking more than 60 calls a day with one person on reception. Around 15 a day went unanswered, most of them between midday and two, which is when patients call and when reception is thinnest.

Before MAIS AI

  • Around 15 calls a day unanswered
  • Nothing recorded about who called
  • Reception interrupted mid-appointment
  • Booking only during opening hours

After MAIS AI

  • Calls answered in under 5 seconds, including out of hours
  • Every call transcribed and countable
  • Reception freed for patients in the room
  • Appointments booked at any hour

Frequently asked questions

Questions about AI Voice Agents

We are a UK company. Can the agent answer a UK number? +
Yes. The number can be UK based while we build and run the agent from Portugal, in the same time zone for most of the year. The agent speaks English by default and we can add European Portuguese or Spanish on the same number.
Does it actually sound natural? +
Good enough that most callers do not remark on it, and it still announces itself as required by the EU AI Act. The bigger factor is not the voice, it is the wait: a natural voice on a badly designed flow still annoys people.
What if the caller wants a person? +
It transfers immediately, with the context already gathered. We treat asking for a human as a valid request, not as something to talk the caller out of.
What happens if it does not understand? +
After two failed attempts it stops trying and routes to a person or takes a callback. Loops are the reason people hate phone systems, so we cap them by design.
